Dubai – Possibly the greatest mystery never told will now be brought to life for Middle East viewers. Discovery Channel is premiering a fascinating documentary series Tesla’s Death Ray that will investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of the scientist Nikola Tesla. The latest series Tesla’s Death Ray, premiering on Thursday, 18 January at 21:00, will follow military investigator Jack Murphy and Tesla historian Cameron Prince on their journey across the globe to collect information about the genius Nikola Tesla’s innovations and the research that may have gone missing from his safe.
Nikola Tesla, the man with 300 inventions to his name including x-ray, laser and wireless energy has been called “The Man Who invented the 20th Century”. However, his theories and style were controversial, and one the most brilliant minds in history was also one of its most dangerous. Even while he was gaining fame, he also made enemies as his experiments became larger and more hazardous. After his mysterious death in 1943, his valuable research was seized and ransacked, and a conspiracy was born. Did he die of natural causes or of something more sinister?
In 2016, the FBI declassified 250 documents that provided new insight into Tesla’s work and final days. Discovery’s team of investigators will travel from Shoreham, New York to Tesla’s homeland of Serbia to seek missing documents and new data in order to build and test-fire a prototype of Tesla’s “Death Ray”, a superweapon claimed capable of ending all war. The series will investigate the clues to discover whether the conspiracy theory about “Death Ray”, is correct or just a hype?
